"This is the hidden piece your cholesterol test will never show you."

If you're living with high cholesterol or high blood pressure, you've already cut back on salt, you go for your walks, and your bloodwork still comes back with bad news — stop what you're doing and read this article with surgical attention.

By Jeremy Campbell, MD

Clinical Cardiologist and Vascular Researcher

Hello. My name is Dr. Jeremy Campbell, and I have practised clinical cardiology for 20 years in Ottawa.

Over those two decades, I have personally cared for more than 26,000 patients who walked through my office door carrying folders of abnormal lab results, blood pressure they couldn't control, and arteries that were slowly being choked off.

I have seen absolutely everything.

From people with subtle changes that could still be turned around in time… to patients taking four heavy medications a day… to active men and women who suffered massive heart attacks out of nowhere.

And for almost my entire career, I faced the same frustrated question from disciplined patients:

"Doctor, I've cut all the salt out of my food. I don't touch fried food. I walk every single day and I take my pills right on schedule. So why does my blood pressure keep climbing and my cholesterol never give me any peace?"

For a long time, conventional medicine answered that question by raising the dose or adding a second pill.

But about a year ago, a shift in the international scientific literature turned everything I thought I knew about cardiovascular risk upside down.

The night the research kept me awake

It was just past one in the morning in my office while I was going through a compilation of scientific research on fat oxidation and changes in blood vessels.

My eyes stopped on one finding, and I read it four times in a row.

Let me ask you a direct question:

What if I told you that the real culprit behind your clogged arteries and your high blood pressure is NOT the amount of cholesterol in your blood?

It sounds like a complete shock at first, doesn't it?

But follow along with me and see how your body actually works.

The root cause no routine test measures

When you go to the lab for bloodwork, the report hands you one raw number:

It measures how much cholesterol is circulating in your bloodstream.

But it is completely blind to a far more critical truth: it does not measure what biological state that fat is in.

And that gap changes your fate.

Cholesterol is a vital molecule made by your liver; it travels through your body inside microscopic transporters.

The biological disaster happens when those fat molecules undergo oxidation.

Oxidation is nothing more than biological rust.

It is the exact same chemical reaction that turns a sliced apple brown within ten minutes of hitting the air. It is the same process that turns a forgotten bottle of cooking oil into a rancid, toxic substance. It is the same relentless corrosion that destroys an iron gate left out in the rain.

In your blood, unstable particles called free radicals attack your fat molecules.

And oxidized cholesterol loses its natural function:

It stops being ordinary fat circulating freely and becomes a highly inflammatory aggressor against the walls of your blood vessels.

Why EVERYTHING you've tried stopped working

Here is the mechanism the vast majority of people have never heard from their own doctors:

Your artery is not an inert plumbing pipe. It is living tissue — elastic, intelligent, pulsing.

The inner lining of the arterial wall (the endothelium) is responsible for sending out biochemical signals that tell the vessel to widen and relax every time your heart pumps blood.

An elastic, relaxed vessel means low resistance and perfectly balanced blood pressure.

But when oxidized fat comes into contact with that delicate lining, it causes constant chemical burns.

Oxidation inflames and wears down the vascular wall.

With the tissue damaged, the vessel loses its elasticity and stiffens.

And when your vessels become rigid and narrow, your heart is forced to pump with excessive force just to push blood out to your vital organs.

The immediate result? Your blood pressure spikes.

And a destructive, self-feeding cycle begins: more pressure damages the vessel wall further; the inflamed vessel attracts more fat; and more fat rusts.

To make things worse, your body identifies this altered fat as a foreign invader and sends immune cells in to engulf it.

Those cells stuff themselves with rancid cholesterol, die, and decay inside the arterial wall.

Spoiled fat, chronic inflammation, and cellular debris all calcify together.

That is how atherosclerotic plaque is actually formed.

If just one of those unstable plaques ruptures, your body forms an instant protective clot — which, inside an already narrowed artery, can block circulation in seconds.

That is exactly how heart attacks and strokes happen.

And absolutely none of this is detected by looking only at whether your total number is 4.9 or 6.2 mmol/L.

Why everything you've tried so far hasn't been enough

This explains with crystal clarity why conventional approaches so often feel like a losing battle:

Cutting fat from your diet: controls what comes in; it does not eliminate all oxidative stress.

Exercise and daily walks: exercise strengthens the body; it does not directly change how fat particles behave in circulation.

Blood pressure and cholesterol medications: can help manage the number on your test results, but it does not necessarily address circulating fat oxidation.

Vitamins: may provide general antioxidant support, but they do not necessarily prevent oxidation of circulating lipids.

Nothing should survive in that puddle: the microalgae shield

The answer that changed how I manage my at-risk patients did not come from the synthetic pharmaceutical industry.

It came from a fascinating cellular survival mechanism: natural astaxanthin, extracted from the marine microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis.

In nature, this microalgae lives in shallow pools on coastal rock that dry out under brutal summer sun.

No water, no shelter, exposed to extreme ultraviolet radiation and scorching heat that would wipe out any other living organism within hours.

To avoid being incinerated, the algae synthesizes a deep-red biological shield: an antioxidant molecule with neutralizing power thousands of times greater than any ordinary commercial vitamin.

But its real brilliance, medically speaking, lies in a rare physico-chemical property:

Astaxanthin is purely fat-soluble (it fuses with fat).

That means that once it is absorbed, it does not simply scatter uselessly.

It is physically incorporated inside the cholesterol particles travelling through your blood.

It rides along embedded in the very fat that needs protecting.

When a free radical collides with that fat molecule, the shield is already in position to repel the attack before oxidation can begin.

In rigorous human scientific research, investigators documented:

  1. Cholesterol particles gained very high resistance to oxidative damage.
  2. Arterial walls regained their ability to relax, allowing blood pressure to come down toward safer levels.
  3. Blood cells regained the flexibility they need to carry oxygen.

What changes in your body and in your routine

Your blood pressure comes down: Less rusted fat grinding against the vessel wall helps restore vascular elasticity, easing the constant strain on your vessels and your heart.

Your cholesterol is kept in check: Your fat stops undergoing the oxidation that turns it into corrosive, sticky residue.

Less plaque buildup: By cutting off the oxidation that feeds inflammation, the plaque accumulation process inside the vessel is interrupted.

Better circulation: Blood cells carry oxygen more easily, putting an end to cold fingertips and swollen feet.

The exhaustion lifts: The mental fatigue that has you reaching for another coffee just to function gives way to steady, clean energy that lasts into the evening.

The blood pressure monitor goes back in the drawer: The paralyzing panic of checking your pressure ten times a day gives way to the confidence that your body is safe.

I WANT TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO RECHARGE MY CELLS

Why Seriatu astaxanthin is the definitive clinical-grade formulation

When I began recommending it to my patients, I went through the supplement market in detail and found two dangerous traps:

  • Blatant underdosing: 90% of brands sell capsules with a mere 4 mg of astaxanthin — an irrelevant dose put on the label purely for marketing appeal.
  • Synthetic, petroleum-derived versions: Many companies sell artificial pigments derived from petrochemical by-products (the same ones used to colour farmed salmon flesh), which have no meaningful benefit for the human heart.

That is why I adopted and now exclusively recommend Seriatu Astaxanthin 12 MG.

Seriatu uses the authentic clinical dose of 12 mg per daily serving — exactly the level validated in the leading cardiovascular research.

It is 100% pure, biologically extracted from Haematococcus pluvialis algae and encapsulated in a high-bioavailability oil base to support immediate cellular absorption.

Has anyone with chronic allergies tried this? My antihistamine stopped working years ago and I'm exhausted from trying everything.

Mark Ellis

I bought this for my wife, who's struggled with sinus issues every spring for over a decade. She's been using it for three weeks and the symptoms are finally fading. She says she feels like herself for the first time in years.

Paula Gillian

I was skeptical. I'd already spent so much money on supplements, air purifiers, and medications. Nothing worked long term. But this actually works. And the science behind it is real, I'm living proof!

Frances Ramsey

I had to buy a second one. My mom kept "borrowing" mine every time she came to visit. At that point, it was cheaper than the arguments.

"I was already on a strict diet and walking every day, but my pressure stubbornly sat around 155/95. After adding Seriatu at lunch, my pressure finally came down to 125/82 at my appointment. For the first time in years, I put the cuff away in the drawer and stopped living on high alert."
